Hi, welcome to our first grade blog! I like to think of this blog as a great place for my first grade friends (and their families) and myself to share what we are learning and creating in our classroom. Here is a little more about me. I have been teaching first grade for the last two years and have had one year in 4th grade. This is my third year in first and I am stoked! I have loved teaching to no end. It is the most fulfilling thing I have done in my life thus far and I wouldn't change it for the world. I just completed my Master's in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in Gifted and Talented Education. I also have my ESL endorsement as well as two Bachelor's - one in Elementary Education and another in Print Journalism (a career from my past life!)
I grew up in Salt Lake City and I currently live in Holladay with my husband Keaton. We have been married for two years, but have been college sweethearts since 2002! Keaton and I love the outdoors. Hiking, camping, traveling. We love it all! We have two puppies, Ollie and Wyatt. They are both Border Collie mixes and definitely keep our hands, and hearts, full!
